Revitalize your home with a few quick and affordable changes.

1.Fresh flowers

Just adding fresh flowers to a space adds a bright and colorful expression to the home. Rotating a new flower arrangement each week is a simple and inexpensive way to do this.

We always see inexpensive fresh flowers at Trader Joe’s. If you're allergic to flowers, then try some plants, which are known to calm the mind and improve air quality in your space.

2. Coordinate your hardware

Update and match your hardware to create a more modern and uniform feel. Just changing the pull knobs in kitchens and bathrooms will create a cleaner and more modern look. If you’re updating light fixtures and faucets as well, make sure all the finishes match or compliment each other. We've found great deals on bulk hardware on Amazon.

3. Symmetry

Create balance in a room by mirroring similar objects. Whether it’s decorative pillows on the couch, a pair of lamps or chairs, adding symmetry to a room creates balance and gives the room a more refined look.

4. Accents

Add accents or “pops” of color. An accent wall is the obvious way to go but you can also add color with artwork, colored picture frames, lamp shades or pillows giving the room a new look and feel. We've found good deals in the past at places like HomeGoods, Marshalls and TJ Max.

5. Lighting

There are so many options for lightbulbs these days, both styles and the shade of light.

Using the same temperature of light in every room (Soft White, Bright White/Cool White, or Daylight) will create an even look and feel throughout the home. For a warmer, welcoming vibe try LED fixtures or Edison bulbs, they cast a warm glow that instantly softens a space.
